The process of process

Well, the rumors were true after all: Oxide is launching its News site today!

Even if it’s not the news you were expecting, there are at least three people that are really excited about it. This site has been in development for some time, and like any project at Oxide, it went through our patented process. So to celebrate, I thought it would be appropriate to write a little about Oxide’s process.

Every new project (including this site) yields new information about the way we work. When we re-trace our steps, we usually find ways to make things better. Most of the time, these are small changes that our clients aren’t even aware of.

Occasionally, we discover new opportunities for change: the sorts of improvements that make the experience more engaging for our clients, more fulfilling for us — and in the end, facilitate better design. These are the changes that we’re excited to tell our clients about. They’re the things that make working with us so worthwhile.

At this very moment, you’re witnessing the latest addition to that process: Oxide News. With the help of WordPress (and a little late-night hacking from our friends at BrightMix), our process can begin earlier and extend further than previously possible.

To our potential clients: we hope to show you the value that design can bring to your (whatever it is you do). To our current clients: we hope to show you just how valuable you are to us.

And to everyone: welcome to Oxide News!
